MAGGIE GRUENNERT, CMP | Meetings Manager

Maggie joined the Women’s Dermatologic Society in September 2015 and works closely with the Program Council, Legacy Council, and Regional Groups on the planning, execution and promotion of all the WDS Events.

Prior to joining WDS she worked for a Private Country Club working closely with their membership planning special events as well as public outreach.   Maggie graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations.  After graduation Maggie also attended Waukesha County Technical College to get a Certification in Meeting and Event Planning and became a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in November 2018. Maggie enjoys baking, crafting and spending time with her husband, daughter, and yellow lab!

HEATHER LESKO | Communications Manager

Heather joined the Women’s Dermatologic Society in June 2018 as the Communications Manager. Before joining WDS, Heather focused on strategic creative and technical projects as a Marketing Communication Specialist, Art Director, and Multimedia Consultant. She has international teaching experience and has volunteered for multiple nonprofits focusing on public relations, marketing, and research.

Heather graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a B.A. in Journalism – Strategic Communication focusing on marketing and public relations. When she is not getting lost in the local library, she enjoys filling up her passport and exploring state parks.

KIM SCHECHTER | Program & Administrative Manager

Kim joined the Women’s Dermatologic Society in February 2017 as Program and Communications Coordinator. In May 2018, she transitioned to Program and Administrative Manager to play a larger roll in fundraising and grant writing, and to take on the awards system. Prior to joining WDS, she worked for a few non-profits in the greater Milwaukee area specializing in fundraising and social media marketing.

Kim initially graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2013 with degrees in theatre and photography. After interning for the American Diabetes Association, she decided to change paths and went back to school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she graduated in 2016 with a BBA in marketing.

When not volunteering for Non-profits, Kim enjoys exploring the Milwaukee food scene, traveling whenever she gets the chance, and enjoying the outdoors.
