Join a Committee

Volunteering for committee service is a great way to build leadership experience and help guide the future of WDS. A variety of committee opportunities are available. Most committees meet virtually, work via Basecamp or email between calls, and may meet in-person at the Annual Meeting. 

The Call for Committee Interest for 2026 will open soon! This year, we will ask that you select your top areas of interest from a variety of activities, so we can match your interests and skills to the right committee opportunity.

Committee assignments are made by the incoming President each January. Committee members will be notified of their appointments and assume their terms immediately following the Annual Meeting. Additional submissions that are received after the deadline will be held for consideration in the following year.
