The Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) invites you to submit abstracts for oral presentations and poster sessions at the 2027 WDS Forum in Clearwater Beach, Florida on April 9-11. This premier event offers members a unique opportunity to engage in high-impact educational sessions, foster meaningful connections, and experience both personal and professional rejuvenation. Details and updates about the Forum can be found on the WDS Website.

All dermatology topics are welcome; however, special consideration will be given to topics that support women’s dermatologic health and the WDS mission.

Educational Session Types

Oral Presentations provide authors with an opportunity to succinctly share information or research findings to a diverse group of experts in the field. Each oral presentation will be 5 minutes with time for questions at the end of the session.
Poster Presentations provide authors with an opportunity to succinctly showcase research findings to a diverse group of experts in the field. The posters will be shown in a poster viewing during the Forum.

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts must be free of commercial bias or promotion, and should include the following elements (500 word limit):

Clear and concise title
Measurable learning objectives
Background, methods, results, and conclusions

Selection Criteria

Abstracts will be reviewed and scored based on the following criteria:

Scientific Merit and Innovation
Relevance to Dermatology and WDS Mission
Clarity and Quality of Abstract
Data Quality and Analysis
Impact and Applicability
Presentation Preference and Suitability

Please Note:

New in 2027: Abstracts may be submitted by Resident, Post-Resident Fellows, and Attending Fellow Members only
WDS membership is not a requirement for abstract submission. If the submitter is not currently a WDS member, they must apply for membership by January 30, 2027, to be eligible.
Abstracts previously presented or published will not be accepted.
Abstract publication in the International Journal of Women’s Dermatology (IJWD) may be offered to the 5 highest scoring oral presentations.
Authors can submit for an Oral Presentation, Poster Presentation, or both.
All authors will be required to register for and attend the Forum.
All authors will be notified in December 2026.
