WDS to Receive Second AAD Gold Triangle Award The WDS will be recognized for its Families Play Safe in the Sun Community Service Outreach Program on the evening of July 27th at the San Diego Marriott during the American Academy of Dermatology's Summer Meeting. This will be the WDS' second AAD Gold Triangle Award in the past two years. The Families Play Safe in the Sun campaign has been underway for just one year and has already reached thousands of families in five metropolitan areas over the past year with its sun safety message. The campaign is slated to continue for two additional years and ten other cities, thanks to funding from the 3M Foundation. Last year, WDS received an AAD Gold Triangle Award for its Play Safe in the Sun at LPGA program targeted to women golfers. The campaign continues to offer free skin cancer screenings of players and spectators at select LPGA tournaments in New Jersey and California this year.
