| Mission Statement |

1.

To focus on the image and identity of the Women’s Dermatologic Society. |
|
2.
|
To develop a position, description, and criteria for selection of any extra-mural consultant(s) engaged by the Society for the purpose of enhancing communications and public relations for the Society. The Communications Committee may charge the extra-mural consultant with development of vehicles to promote the Society (such as a brochure or pamphlet) or to enhance communication within the Society. The Communications Committee, with the approval of the Board, will negotiate contracts with any consultants for services rendered and fee schedules. |

To coordinate with the Executive Director and appropriate Society Committees the dissemination of information about missions, goals, and programs of the Society to other organizations with interest in the Society, such as other professional organizations, patient support groups, groups affiliated with residency education, or organizations with connections to our specialty. |

To suggest and explore alternate technologies for distribution of information about the Society. |
|
5.
|
To develop an annual budget for the Communications Committee including any fees associated with consultant contracts, costs of any vehicles developed and distributed, and fees associated with technology for approval by the Board of Directors. |

6.
|
To have the Chair of the Communications/Image Committee be a non-voting Ex-Officio member of the Executive Committee to allow knowledge of WDS activities. |
|
Number of Members: At least 6
Term: 3 years Term expires after annual meeting in final year. WDS Historian serves as Ex-Officio Active Member. WDS President, Secretary and Treasurer serve as Ex-officio Advisory Members. |
